The ‘win a ski trip’ competition from Adventure Georgia on Groot FM inspired me to book a well-deserved overseas holiday.

Bakuriani is, to me, like our own Clarens in the Free State – on “steroids”. Autumn time is breathtakingly beautiful. The ideal place for photography, walking, nature and an interesting cultural experience. Of course the food is there, something to write home about!

Thanks to the SA team, who helped me with our flight tickets and the friendly help in Georgia itself. The ski villas are spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed – from cooking to laundry facilities.

For those who wanted to know, Georgia is so different from the European countries that one usually visits, that it really is an unforgettable experience.
